The start of the relay race

The relay race saw two teams of runners drag their sulky and passenger around one lap the Tattersall's park pacing track. The Brighton Football Club representing the Hobart Greyhound Racing Club had Dave Noonan as their passenger while the New Norfolk Football Club represented the Tasmanian Pacing Club with Wendy Kennedy in the sulky.
